2.2Information Collected Automatically
We, and third parties on our behalf, automatically collect certain information about your interactions with the Services and emails, including through cookies, session replay technology, and other tracking technologies (“Tracking Technologies”). Where required, we seek your consent to use these Tracking Technologies. We collect and use this information because it is in our legitimate interests to tailor your experience with the Services, run analytics, de-bug, better understand user interactions with and improve the Services and enable us to engage in more personalized advertising. We may associate this information with the device you use to access the Services, or email accounts you use to engage with us. For further information on how we use Tracking Technologies and your choices, see the section below, “Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies”.
2.3Information Collected From Other Sources
We obtain information about you from outside sources, including information we receive from social media platforms, such as when you interact with us on Discord or X (formerly Twitter), which we use in our legitimate interests to communicate with you and personalize our Services. We also obtain information from the public blockchain, such as information about transactions and wallet addresses, which we use to provide Services to you as required to perform our contract with you. Any information received from outside sources that we use will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy. For more information, please see “Third Party Websites and Materials” below.
3.HOW WE DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION
In certain circumstances, we disclose your information with third parties to perform our contract, with your consent, or as otherwise required or permitted by law. Specifically, we share your personal information, as applicable:
- •To vendors or other service providers who help us provide the Services, including for cloud storage, payment processing, system administration, security, customer relationship management, management of our referral program, marketing communications, data analytics and the deployment of Tracking Technologies.
- •With third party payment processors, to perform a contract with you. We will share your payment information with third party payment processors for the purpose of processing your payment transaction, if this is required for the purposes of performing our contract with you.
- •With our business clients, in our legitimate interests to run a successful business. As necessary, we may share personal information to our business clients who use our services, including about your activity on their website. Transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by the service agreements with our clients.
- •With professional advisors, in our legitimate interests to run a successful and efficient business, or as required by law. As necessary, we will share your personal information with professional advisors functioning as service providers such as auditors, law firms, or accounting firms.
- •With regulators, law enforcement agencies, public authorities, or any other relevant organizations for legal and security reasons and to protect our services and business in our legitimate interests, or as required by law. We will share your personal information: (i) in response to a legal obligation; (ii) if we have determined that it is necessary to share your personal information to comply with applicable law or any obligations thereunder, including cooperation with law enforcement, judicial orders, and regulatory inquiries; (iii) to protect the interests of, and ensure the safety and security, of us, our users, a third party or the public; (iv) to exercise or defend legal claims; and (v) to enforce our terms and conditions, other applicable terms of service, or other agreements.
- •With our affiliates, in our legitimate interests to efficiently and effectively run our business. We may share your personal information with companies within our corporate family.
- •With a prospective buyer, seller, new owner, or other relevant third party in connection with an asset sale or purchase, a share sale, purchase or merger, bankruptcy, or other business transaction or re-organization, in our legitimate interests to ensure the continuity of our business and achieve our commercial purposes. We will share your personal information as necessary while negotiating or in relation to a change of corporate control such as a restructuring, merger, or sale of our assets.
4.COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGY
We use Tracking Technologies, including Google Analytics and Amplitude's session replay technology, to collect information about your browsing activities, including session recordings and information about your browsing over time and across different websites following your use of our Services. Such information includes:
- •Device Information, such as device type, operating system, screen size, unique device identifier, Internet protocol (IP) address, preferred language and browser information.
- •Location information, such as approximate location and, if you choose to provide it, precise geolocation.
- •Other information regarding your interaction with the Services, such as session recordings, browser type, log data, date and time stamps, emails you have opened and clickstream data (e.g., page requests, page views, how much time is spent on a page, content viewed or interacted with, text entered, etc.).
Where required, we seek your consent to use these Tracking Technologies and will provide notice and ask for your consent before collecting any personal information that may be included in a session recording. Otherwise, many browsers accept Tracking Technologies automatically, but you are able to control the way in which your device permits the use of Tracking Technologies. If you so choose, you may block or delete certain Tracking Technologies from your browser; however, blocking or deleting Tracking Technologies may cause some of the Services, including login features and general functionality, to work incorrectly.
Your browser settings may also allow you to transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. Like many websites, our Websites are not designed to respond to this signal. To learn more about "Do Not Track" signals, you can visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com/. To opt out of tracking by Google Analytics, you can download and install a plug-in available here.
5.THIRD PARTY WEBSITES AND MATERIALS
Our Websites may contain links to other online platforms, plug-ins or other applications operated by third parties. For example, certain features of the Services allow you to initiate interactions between the Services and third-party services or platforms, such as Discord or X (formerly Twitter) that allow you to access our pages on third-party platforms, and from there "like" or "share" our content, or to access our Services through a login integration. Use of these features may allow a third party to collect and/or use your information.
We do not control such other sites or applications, and are not responsible for their content, their privacy policies, or their use of your information. Information you provide on public or semi-public venues, including information you share on third-party social networking platforms, may also be viewable by other users of the Websites and/or users of those third-party online platforms without limitation as to its use by us or by a third party. Our inclusion of such links does not, by itself, imply any endorsement of the content on such platforms or of their owners or operators except as disclosed on the Websites. We expressly disclaim any and all liability for the actions of third parties, including but without limitation to actions relating to the use and/or disclosure of personal information by third parties. Any information submitted by you directly to these third parties is subject to that third party's privacy policy.
6.CHILDREN
Our Websites and Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children. Children must not use the Services, except where their parent or guardian has provided consent, if this option is available in your location. If we become aware that we have unknowingly collected information from a child, in particular children under 13 years of age, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information from our database. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their personal information, you may contact us using the below information to request that it be deleted.
7.DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION
Please note that any information you send to us electronically, while using the Services or otherwise interacting with us, may not be secure while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecured channels to send us sensitive or confidential information. Despite our reasonable efforts, no security measures are impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security."
We retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our terms of use policy, and other applicable policies and agreements. If you stop using our Services, or if you delete your account with us, we will store your information in an aggregated and anonymized format; we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
8.WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your information may be stored, transferred to and processed outside of your country of residence, including transfers to recipients in other countries which may have data privacy or protection rules that are different from your country of residence or citizenship. For example, if we process any personal information of residents in the EEA and UK, the personal information that we collect from you will be transferred to, and stored at/processed in countries outside the EEA and UK, including in the United States, by us or one of our third party service providers or partners. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. For example, where required to do so for any transfers of personal information outside the EEA or the UK, the data transfer will be under the European Commission's model contracts for the transfer of personal information to third countries (i.e., the standard contractual clauses), or any equivalent standard clauses issued by the relevant competent authority of the UK, as relevant, unless the data transfer is to a country that has been determined by the European Commission or the relevant UK authorities, as applicable, to provide an adequate level of protection for individuals' rights and freedoms for their personal information. For more information about data transfers or to examine a copy of the relevant standard clauses, you can contact us at privacy@ritualfoundation.org.

Please note that a number of these rights only apply in certain circumstances, and all of these rights may be limited by law and subject to certain exceptions. For example, where fulfilling your request would adversely affect other individuals or our trade secrets or intellectual property, where there are overriding public interests or where we are required by law to retain your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, you can contact privacy@ritualfoundation.org.
